Speed Runs

2016 was great for speedrunning for me in general, so many wr runs bopped and improved times, here is to 2017 hoping for that same result!

I watched a guy on twitch this morning doing some practice runs of different levels on X2 for SNES. Although he was playing it on an emulator, he had some pretty good runs. Always worthwhile to turn on twitch and browse whatever game may be on your mind.

Speed runs can definitely be frustrating. You really have to enjoy going fast and perfectionism isn't really an option when you're just going for time. Did you do this run on PC or the console? I think you have some jumping opportunities to shave off a few seconds. Also, how many times did you do this run to get it down that low? Most people who speed run will put the number of "takes" that they do to get it that low and say what system they did the run on.

Overall, I thought it was awesome. Some really great jumps in there that tremendously help you with time. Do you know if you run and jump at the same speed? If not, that would also be a way to improve your run. I would watch more if you posted it.

I may not submit it due to how mediocre it is. The dice palace is still so bad, I gotta practice that quite a bit.

Love how you beat the first level in 2 minutes. Are you going to submit your 34 minute run?

Up above, there should be a Youtube tab on the forum. Try doing it on the computer, not phone, and try doing it in a response- not a Quick Response. It should look like this:

Any way, I want to do some speed runs but... when I videoed my 3DS... my camera was too high up- thus I wasted the whole time. You couldn't see what I was doing.
So...bummer I guess?
